The loading screen is so cute! I love the voice acting & how the instructions are given, but it would be nice if there was text to accompany it. You really have to listen close to the VA, and it's just nice for accessibility purposes. The first time I played, I instinctively tried everything I could to move away from the "enemy"/other character, so I kind of wasted my charm and missed the instructions. Also, I think you can jump from the edge of the wall (like in the first stage, you can fall and then press space when you're at the bottom to jump back up to the platform).
I like how you can charm someone in the middle of a jump! Did not realize there were lives though. I think it'd be better if you just had 1 life per level. I thought the green bar was health, not charm; it would be nice to at least have some sort of UI icon next to it so you know (perhaps make it green, and if you want you could do a particle system).
The sound effects & the cursor/charming effects are really nice! Jumping is a bit strange though, you go really high no matter how long you press space & you don't go very far. Frogs jump far too :) From Google: "Most frogs can jump about 20 times their body length, with some smaller frogs jumping 50 times their own length!"
The archer & warrior level design with the 2 blocks at the top was really nice. But because I died & had to restart from the beginning from that level multiple times, I gave up lol. The VA of "Do not give up, it's not over" was encouraging, but it's really frustrating when you have to restart from the beginning. I also didn't really understand the lore... why are you escaping? Where are you escaping from?
Music is top-notch. And I love the premise of actually being in their body & having the previous ones die (but why do they disappear? Is there lore? As you can probably tell, I love lore).
The art is also very cute as well, but it's confusing when there are sometimes frogs on top of the soldiers(?) when you haven't enchanted them. Other than that, I think this is a solid game. Especially knowing it was fully made on Python (you are a crazy game dev). Good job!!
